The Origins of Facebook: A Collaborative Effort

How They Built the World's Largest Social Network

Facebook began as a simple project in Mark Zuckerberg's dorm room at Harvard. Eduardo Saverin played a crucial role by investing $1,000 of his own money to cover initial expenses. Together, they developed the platform that would eventually connect billions of people worldwide.

During this phase, their friendship was characterized by mutual respect and shared goals. They both believed in the potential of Facebook to revolutionize social interaction, and their partnership seemed destined for greatness.

The Conflict That Changed Everything

However, the honeymoon phase didn't last long. As Facebook grew, tensions between Mark and Eduardo began to surface. One of the key issues was the dilution of Eduardo's equity in the company.
